- To evolve into an effectively managed self-sustaining organization
- While the NDPA has certainly established itself as a successful national nonprofit organization, the NDPA Board of Directors has set its sights on developing a two-year proposal that will result in long-term self-sustainability.
- To be the central source of information and referral on research, data, education, policy and promotion of drowning prevention
- The NDPA Board of Directors is establishing a plan to provide state of the art resources, publications, and information to NDPA Members that will support drowning prevention efforts nationwide. Watch for our website to be completely redesigned in look, content, and function.
- To reduce the incidence of toddler drowning in swimming pools and spas
The NDPA recognizes, addresses, and supports drowning prevention efforts for persons of all ages and drowning risks in all types of bodies of water. As a short-term goal we are striving to place emphasis on research, awareness, and policy changes to impact the incidence of toddler drowning in swimming pools.
